Devolution of Mankind Empty
PostSubject: Devolution of Mankind   Devolution of Mankind EmptyWed Apr 29, 2009 5:23 pm

If you choose to believe in evolution as I do then I have some issues with what has become of mankind. All other species on planet earth have heightened sense, wonderful capabilities. For examples, bats have no need for eyes, they can fly around using sonar, they can fly. What has become of humans? At one point, a long, long time ago, mankind were monkeys, with a massly heightened sense of hearing, they had impeccable balance...

Now, through "evolution" we've lost the ability to do just about everything. Mankind can't do jack-shit. A lifestyle has been created where-by we aren't required to do anything, and in our own little secluded way, we don't need to, we just promote intelligence.... but there's only so long that can last until finally it falls apart. You think of bee-hives, they're extremely organised and intelligent but, eventually, they fall and the bees cannot survive on their own so, inevitably, die. Sure, human's have built a massive 'hive' that has lasted for a great many years but we are undoubtedly going fall and then what? We all die, because we can't survive out in the wild, those that are left will just be wiped out by predators because all they have for a defence is opposable thumbs. A fat lot of good that'll do when gazing helplessly into the eyes of a grizzly bear.

It's the thumb that is the main cause for mankinds de-volution, relying solely upon constructed weaponry and then working from there upwards to what we have today. Mankind is going to fall, all because of it's own 'intelligence' and, of course, the thumb.

You're fucked.

Fucked we may be, but we'd never have got here without the intelligence that mankind so values.
Yes, mankind will fall.

But at least it rose to begin with.

Is there a point to rising to such 'heights' when, in the animal kingdom they seem to be content doing whatever the hell they want. they don't suffer from obesity, heart disease, cancer...or even BOREDOM. Every problem mankind has is because of something they've caused. Take the hole in the ozone layer and global warming. I don't recall bears building smoke-churning factories and ignorantly destroying their own planet, or even kangaroos for that matter.

Mankind would be better off without civilisation.

Cigarettes poison us, and consider the withdrawal symptoms and the dependancy.

As for literature... one word... 'Twilight'.
Mankind creates their own misery.
